  Whew! Where do I start. My first impression was he seemed overworked. Over the next few visits with my son that impression changed. Dr Goodson may know his stuff but his beside manners are HORRIBLE!!! He treats his patients as though they're nothing. The Way I've seen/heard him talk to his assistants is sickening. I asked him to speak with him in private. When we went in the room I expressed my disappointment with how he talks to and treats my son who is nine and was receiving braces. If you've gone through the process you know it's painful as points. He talked to my son like he had no feelings so I told him so. I started the conversation saying I know you know your stuff but your bedside manners could use some work etc. Instead of him being the professional he says he is and acknowledging the fact that I said what I said in private and not out in front of his full waiting room he starts yelling at me about how long he's been in business. It's a lot more that happened but Please save yourself some dignity and do not see Ernest Goodson. I went because he was the closest one to me that would see my son who is a Medicaid patient. I feel terrible because of what I put my son through. Now he has a half done mouth 😔😔😔

  My 13 y.o daughter has been going here for 4 years, and today was the day she got her braces off. My daughter has often complained about him been unfriendly and rude but I told her to just ignore him bc we were almost to the finish line (smh...should've changed providers). Well today when he was doing her mold for her retainer, my daughter stated that she begin to feel like she was choking with all the paste he was putting in her mouth and when she was trying to sit up he begin yelling and holding her down. ( I was in waiting area and heard Dr. Goodson yelling). I proceed to get up to see what is happening and by the time I get to the door my daughter runs out screaming and crying saying don't put your hands on me. After getting into a heated exchange with Dr. Goodson I proceeded to ask the nurse did he put his hands on my child and she was so scared to speak up. All she said was he was holding her but I came in at the end so I didn't see anything. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO HIM AND IF YOUR CHILD IS COMPLAINING ABOUT HIM LISTEN!!!!! 😡🤬😞

  Rude, Very Unprofessional, not kid-friendly, and should retire before someone hurts him about their kid. That man only take Medicaid patients in order to have a business. He told me out of his own mouth “ he only get paid a quarter from Medicaid of what he would make for paying patients.” Pretty much he works for free on you poor people. I don't know why he's still in business. Run fast for Mr. Goodson office or you will regret it later like I did. My daughter is stuck in the middle of her braces process because she said he was hurting her and he was dismissive so she came to me and he came out yelling, saying I will transfer her records wherever ever you want but never explaining what happened. Quick to pass her on because of Medicaid pay early and he has already collected the check. Mr. RIP-OFF he doesn't deserve to be called Dr.

  Dr. Goodson produce results and offers a family atmosphere. He was my orthodontist and now my daughter’s.

  He does good work, however if you want a kid friendly personable orthodontist with good bedside manners then I strongly suggest going some where else. Every time my daughter goes there she is in tears. Staff turnover is high and I'll give you one guess why. If you still decide to go with him just know he will quote you 24 months, but be prepared for a min of 3.5 years. . We are currently at 3 years with no end in sight.
