  The entire staff of Cape Fear Eye Associates are the epitome of what is expected of a full eye establishment. Knowledge and Professionalism is atmosphere found at Cape Fear Eye Associates. I would recommend to anyone in need of full eye health care services.

  Patients should be able to obtain a report or summary of their visit at the time of checkout, particularly when they are required to pay deductibles or other out-of-pocket expenses prior to services being rendered. Transparency and access to one’s own medical information should be treated as a standard component of patient-centered care, not as an optional convenience. In my case, I requested documentation of my visit and was informed that it was not available at the time of checkout. I was then told I would need to return in two days to obtain it, or alternatively be charged a fee for a copy, despite the fact that the report was unavailable when initially requested. This places an unreasonable burden on patients and reflects a disconnect between administrative processes and patient rights to timely medical information. Additionally, the wait time to be seen and to complete required testing was excessive and poorly communicated. Extended delays without clear expectations or updates undermine efficiency, patient trust, and overall quality of care. From an operational and ethical standpoint, healthcare facilities should strive for timely service delivery, clear communication, and immediate access to visit documentation, especially when financial obligations are enforced upfront. Improving these practices would align more closely with established principles of healthcare transparency, accountability, and respect for patients’ time and autonomy.

  From the initial call for appt to text messages with history and physical questionnaire and informative videos and on to check in, testing and appt with the physician, every step was excellent. Dr Riggins had a great manner and thoroughly discussed my eye conditions and the cataract surgery with options. He could not have been nicer or more professional. Jennifer at checkout was excellent and answered all questions regarding location and charges. I found the first visit to be outstanding and I recommend them highly.

  I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Patel. He recently performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. He's a brilliant surgeon who is kind and considerate. Staff members are very caring and professional. Each appointment from the consultation, surgical suite prep, to completing the surgery has been nothing but a grade A experience. I would recommend Cape Fear Eye Associates many times over. Thank you for a great experience for a sensitive matter.
