    It was a pleasure getting to meet Dr. Jhala and all the staff at TVO - Durham! I was offered helpful advice at every step from administrative/intake, to the exam, to the glasses/lens selection, all the way to check out!

    Friendly and efficient staff. Dr explained everything and answered all my questions. My appointment was on time with only a short wait for the Dr after the tech finished. I would recommend this office. I also appreciate that they take my vision insurance which is through the state of NC.

    My family and I have been a loyal customers of Triangle Vision Durham branch for several years now, starting when they were still back in their old small building. Customer service back then was awesome. They were very welcoming and helpful. They made you feel like family instead of clients. But now, the staff in their new building in Durham is very indifferent. Gone is the warmth and welcoming atmosphere. My disappointment started after we had this year's annual exam. I ordered a pair of new prescription glasses. I was told that it will take approximately 2 weeks the most for it to be ready. Two weeks had passed and still no word from them. My husband told me to be patient and just give them extra time since it's a new pair. Another week (3rd) passed and still no word. On the fourth week, I sent them a text message asking for an update. I got a reply and was told that they will pass along my message to their Durham branch and that I will hear from them in 24-48 hours. Still no word. I finally decided to give them a call and lo and behold, the person who answered told me that my glasses were ready. So I asked her since when and she told me that they have been ready 2 weeks ago. So I asked her why nobody cared to call me? She then informed me that they have been trying to call me several times. I was really getting annoyed at her lying. Why would you lie when you know I can check my phone for missed calls! I never received any calls from them nor received any recent emails about my glasses. And if you were calling me several times, why would you not leave a voice message? I hate people who lie so that was the final straw. NEVER again would we go back to being their clients! I feel like our loyalty is not valued.

    Experience overall was great and had no major issues; that being said, one instance that did sour me was that I was rescheduled for an additional follow up appointment (exactly 1yr later) during my initial visit without informing me of this. Thankfully I check my email consistently to see I had received a notice nearly a full calendar year later informing I had an upcoming appointment and if I didn’t cancel with appropriate notice I’d be billed a fee. I was traveling for work and this location was convenient for me at the time, and I certainly would have objected to being rescheduled had I been informed because of that fact.

    I have been a customer of Triangle Vision for several years, and this is the first time I have been truly disappointed. Something in their process has clearly changed. When you call now, you reach a call center that promises a callback within 24 to 48 hours, but that callback never comes. My issue began in January. I had previously purchased two frames from them and damaged the lenses in one pair, so I brought them in to be replaced. They measured the frames and placed the order on January 4th. I never received a call to notify me that my order has arrived. On January 24th, I stopped by to ask about my order and suddenly they had my order on site. The lenses that arrived did not fit the frames. I left the frames again. They apologized and said they would send them back to be remade and assured me they would ship the frames to the lab to prevent this from happening again. I tried calling but again only reached the call center, which promised a callback that never happened. On February 18th, I stopped by and was told there was another delay. I asked them to call me when the glasses arrived. On Tuesday, February 24th, I finally received a call saying the lenses had been shipped to the wrong location but would be overnight and that I would be contacted as soon as they came in. I never received that call. On Thursday evening, February 26th, I went in again and was told they had received the lenses, but no one had informed me, and they were still too large for the frames. Despite their earlier assurance, the frames had been shipped to the lens lab to avoid this issue. For the second time, they told me they were sending everything back to be corrected. It has now been two months since I placed the order. There has been no proactive communication, repeated mistakes, and I am still waiting. On February 27th, I was told the order had been sent to another lab and the new estimated delivery date is March 8th.
