I am submitting this review to document my experience at 20/20 vision services (the partner of Eyemart Express) so other consumers can make an informed decision. I completed an eye exam at 20/20 vision services and later returned for a re-exam after the glasses made from the original prescription were unusable. I tried the glasses out and returned them immediately. Throughout both the first and second visits to 20/20 vision services, I consistently described the same visual issues to the technician and the optometrist. During the re-exam, I was informed by the doctor via video conference (they have no doctor or technicians on site) that I likely required a hands-on practitioner and possibly prism correction—neither of which this virtual-only practice provides. These limitations were not disclosed prior to purchase. I want to be very clear and fair about why I requested a refund. This wasn't about effort or professionalism — it’s about service capability. They were not capable of providing me the service I paid for. They did not have the tools or technology to give me a proper prescription. Their service was undeliverable, which ethically required a full, not partial refund. I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve the matter, including more than 6 phone calls and additional travel time, but received only a partial refund despite the doctor who saw me twice acknowledging they could not meet my needs. After these many phone calls, I was never put in touch with the right person after specifically asking for a name and phone number of someone that could help me. Instead I was bounced around to people that said they would "have someone call me." After no response for quite some time after the last attempt to resolve the matter, I left a message stating that I was going to dispute the charge to Amex and leave an honest review of what happened during this experience on Google Reviews, the Better Business Bureau, and any other platform I could so that others could make an informed decision as to whether 20/20 vision services would be a good fit for them. This prompted an immediate response that a full refund had been issued, for which I am grateful, but it took a lot of time, effort and communication to get to that point. I should not have had to go to such lengths to get a full refund. 20/20 vision services may be appropriate for some patients, but artists, photographers, and individuals with more complex visual requirements should consider a provider that offers in-person exams and a full range of corrective options. Again, this wasn't about effort or professionalism — it’s about service capability.

Apart from a short wait to be seen (as a walk-in), the experience was very positive. Selection, price, and service were excellent, and as an in-network provider for VSP, it was simple and affordable.
