They acknowledge your presence at the counter right away if they are temporarily delayed as they finish a task. I truly am very glad to be having them handle all my prescription and OTC needs. If I have questions, about anything in their department, they are more than ready to help!! I came from 2 other BIG name pharmacies (W and C) who were rude and acted like waiting on you for anything was an interruption. They would be 'chatting' with another employee and after seeing you, would turn their back... as if to say, I'll get to you when I am ready. Not a one time incident many. They fail at customer service! They refused to fill my doctor written prescription saying its OTC now, so No, cannot fill. My doctor couldn't believe it!! HT fills all doctor written prescriptions with no problem! I Love my HT Pharmacy!! Thank You!!!

- EAelizabeth acreeJun 19, 20221.0Beware when filling prescriptions from your veterinarian at human pharmacies. A pharmacist( initials R.L.)at the Davidson Harris Teeter filled a prescription that was not available at my vet-North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital. The pharmacist filled the prescription using an alternate medication.. The pharmacist did not call my vet to ask about using this med nor did the pharmacist inform me they filled the prescription with the alternative medication. I gave this medication to my cat twice a day for a week. After the week, I took my cat back to NMAH for a revisit. When talking to my vet about the medication, the vet realized the medication was wrong and that this medication is toxic to cats. Bloodwork was checked for Liver and Kidney failure. Results were ok and a plan was made to recheck blood a week later. The 2nd set of blood work, a week later, revealed my cat’s neutrophil level was .7 She was severely immunocompromised. I went home with 2 antibiotics to ward off any possible infections she could get. I left my cat at the vet for 2 days in a row so she could receive Neupogen injections and monitoring for side effects from the toxic medication. I was afraid if her bone marrow didn’t start producing neutrophils, she was going die. Please be mindful of pet medications filled at human pharmacies. When my vet told the pharmacist the alternate medication was toxic to cats, the pharmacist said she didn’t know that. Negligence for not filling the prescribed medication and negligence for not knowing the facts of the alternate medication.
