You are sent lots of messages to make appt before the year runs out and I get there and was told it was still too early to be seen in dec as my last visit was in January. I did not get upset and took it well since it was an automated msg that made me make the appt. The receptionist went ahead to tell me the day I would be able to come in and scheduled me. Upon my arrival that January she said oh we can’t see you today the 7th until the 8th. Insurance won’t pay and you would have to pay yourself. I reminded her that was what she told me in Dec and she herself made the January appt. I was very upset of course. Why make me drive twice and then expect me to come back a third time again for another appt just to get my yearly eye test. The attitude was off and barely apologized telling me what do you want me to do. I would take my biz the another branch. I don’t have time to waste. Of course I left everything else I needed to do to make these appt and it’s not fair to me. Location is accuvision in concord at Carolina mall. Receptionist don’t know their job.

When I arrived, the waiting area was calm with only one other person there, which is rare for this typically busy office. The young lady at the front desk checked me in quickly, and the atmosphere felt friendly right from the start. I was even more impressed when I realized the staff member chatting pleasantly with another patient was actually the doctor. She was extremely thorough, explained my exam results in a way that was easy to understand, and even shared a bit of her background in the industry. Her style is modern and approachable, and she carries herself in a way that makes you feel comfortable rather than intimidated, which is something I truly appreciated. Overall, my visit was excellent. The only thing I wish had been different is that my PD number wasn’t included with my prescription. Since patients pay for the exam regardless of where they choose to purchase glasses, it would feel fair to have full access to that information. Aside from that, I left very satisfied and would definitely recommend this location to others.
