My daughter likes going to the day program! I like that it’s structured enough that they have plans for each day, but the client can decide what they want to do, so they have some choices. I like how the staff interact with my daughter and joke around with her, which she loves. She loves the field trips and going out to eat. Lately they have had many issues with the buses breaking down, so hopefully will get back soon to going on day trips.

My family has been involved with Lindley Habilitation in Clemmons, now known as Amivie Lindley Habilitation Services, since 2012. My daughter attends the day program 5 days a week. She is surrounded by staff who know her and truly care about her needs. It is a sad day for her if she can’t attend for reasons such as illness, appointments, vacation, inclement weather, etc. The administrative staff is top-notch, always available to listen to concerns I may have. We are very fortunate to be a part of the Amivie Lindley “family”!

My daughter has attended Lindley College in Clemmons since 2020. She loves it! The staff at Lindley are dedicated to their jobs and they consistently provide excellent support for my child. They know our family and I feel like they really care about us. I'm so glad we chose Lindley College.

Kind people with good hearts working with the special needs community.
While specific definitions can vary by state, ID is generally characterized by significant limitations in intellectual functioning (mental capacity, learning, etc.) and adaptive behaviors (conceptual, practical, and social skills typically learned from an early age).
What is a developmental disability (DD)?
Specific definitions may vary by state and may also encompass ID, though developmental disabilities also include physical disabilities present at birth or developed in childhood.nd social skills typically learned from an early age).
What support is available for individuals with I/DD?
Ranging from Medicaid waivers to address the financial components of professional I/DD services and supports to community support groups and disorder-specific organizations, there are many resources available. Connecting with a variety of them is hugely beneficial to both individuals and families to “connect the dots” between financial needs, education, and the sharing of ideas within our community!
What is the difference between residential supports and community living supports?
Residential supports are services that assist individuals living in group homes and alternative family living (AFL) settings. Community living supports assist those living in their own homes or the homes of their family members. Both types work to promote personal growth and community engagement for the individual.
What are private pay services?
While most of our services are available through Medicaid waivers, many individuals and their families seek day support and/or respite services independently. This can be on a regular basis or just as needed.
What are CARF and ARF accreditation?
Becoming CARF- and ARF- accredited means adopting a high set of standards for the care we provide and then opening our doors for external review. A CARF or ARF accreditation is a badge of honor, and all of CBC’s I/DD service agencies have earned theirs!
Why use home care?

Amivie is a home care provider that can help you or a loved one receive personal care services, whether they be simply focused on activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, feeding, bathing or grooming, meal prep, or light housekeeping, or more complex services such as medication reminders, transferring, ambulation, utilization of Hoyer lifts or other more sophisticated medical equipment to live in their own home or place of residence.
What types of homecare services do you provide?
At Amivie, we provide a range of care depending on the client's needs. Care can range from assistance with Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) to more complex care for seniors requiring Hoyer Lifts or Sit Stands for ambulation or Pediatric clients needing feedings or tracheostomy care. Please check with the local Amivie Provider to understand the types of care that they can provide for you, a client, or a loved one.
