When they say Americas healthcare system is broken, Novant Health is who they’re talking about. I have had numerous issues at numerous branches. But this one this one takes your cake, eats it, and then gaslights you into thinking it’s your fault for not writing your name on it. After being referred by my PCP to this branch for a special procedure, I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. I had it confirmed the day prior, and then 5 minutes before I left I received a call. It was the doctor (who I did not know) telling me that the scheduled appointment time did not leave her enough time to complete it. Unsure of how this could have happened I quickly returned the call to be met with an administrator who had no idea what I was talking about. After a ten minute discussion (that timeline is important) I was told they had fixed the issue and told me to come in. Now behind schedule I rush over to their office and arrive about nine minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was checked in and even heard the administrator tell her colleague he made it in time. About five minutes later I was called to the front desk and told the doctor did not have enough time to complete my procedure. I was astounded. I explained my situation and they told me that because I was late there was now not enough time. I explained that I was only late because of the delay they had caused, and despite that had still managed to get their within their 10 minute grace period. It didn’t matter. After fighting back the urge to lose my cool on the apathetic front desk lady and her lukewarm disposition, I tried to reschedule and was told I’d the only times they had available either required me to take a day off work, or wait until June (it’s march). She said this with a straight face as if this was a reasonable request and had little to no mind for not only denying me medical care due to this location’s administrative error and instead gave me the same look my middle school math teacher used to give me when I walked into class 30 seconds after the bell hand rung. These are the people who Americans rely on for their health and well being. They don’t care about you. They don’t care about your children. They live to clock out at 5pm. They cash their checks and move on. They don’t want to ensure you have a high-level of care. It doesn’t matter to them if you have been living in constant pain for over a year. They will stare at you with the eyes of a dead cow and ask you to wait three months because it inconveniences them to critically think beyond what their group DoorDash order will be. And the worst part? They’ll answer this review with the same copy paste negative review response provided to them by their communications department despite being called out for it here. Wake up. Never give Novant your insurance company’s money. They’re not even worth that.

Fantastic experience! I have avoided the doctor for almost a decade out of pure fear. Today I saw Jonita M Newkirt, FNP, and had the best experience. Kenisha (please excuse any misspelling of name), was also absolutely amazing, kind, and inviting. I had to get bloodwork and she was extremely patient as I expressed my extreme fear. Then it was time for my blood work, which was done by Franchine (please excuse any misspelling of name) and I am so embarrassed of how dramatic I was. Literally haven’t had bloodwork in 10 years out of fears and Franchine erased all fears. I hope she’s there any day I have to do bloodwork, or better yet - I would just come back on a day she’s there. Ha! Such a great team, and great experience.

Please look out for yourself and don’t blindly follow nurse or doctor advice! Most of them are blindly recommending what insurance allows without thinking for themselves. I’m 33 and was told to wait 5 years between Pap smears. Thank god I didn’t listen and only went 2 years. As It turns out, the nurse practitioner was operating off only THREE YEARS of my medical history and didn’t think to ask me for more. I didn’t know this until I asked several follow up questions. I had an abnormal pap and am finding a different doctor who hopefully cares to do the follow up. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Unfortunately it’s come to this as I’ve had many doctors and dentists be negligent. OH and they told me that I must come in person to fill out a medical record request form, but when I called medical records they apologized on behalf of this office and helped me easily fill out the form online AND bypass the wait. When I called novant noda back to tell them this, they said they just prefer the physical form and denied they gave me incorrect info . Lol what is happening to our medical system.

Never in my 34 years on earth have I experienced a less professional doctor than Dr Muller. He was rude, disrespectful, and even showed up late. Questioning others professional diagnoses, telling me my diagnosed mental disorder is not real and then bickering with me when I pushed back. I will never come here again and if it were up to me I’d have him barred from discussing mental health with ANYONE.
