Don’t waste your time going to this primary care facility. The staff are horrible and I’m saying this from just speaking to them and not even getting a chance to meet any of them in person. One of the receptionist that answers has a nasty attitude when trying to find their place because the directions they provide with their address is not accurate and nobody rarely ever picks up their phone either. The one time I was supposed to see them nobody answered. They apparently don’t have anyone coming in before they open for business so if you are the first one coming at an 8:00am appointment good luck getting a hold of someone.
After I got lost and spent over an hour trying to find the place and get a hold of someone to answer the phone, the receptionist that finally answered copped an attitude, and then said she would reschedule me hours later on the same day for my appointment, which I was so frustrated and said ok fine so they put me in at 2:30. As I was planning to head to the place, I ended up getting a flat tire so I had to call and cancel. And they said to me with no empathy or any concern about the fact that I have no way to get there right now since my car is in the middle of the road, they said that they’re going to write me a letter on MyChart, which is basically some type of penalty for something I have no control of and they said they were going to give me a third chance and try to reschedule again for another day that same week. So I planned to still go to the third appointment that week and when I got a message from Mychart it says that the appointment is now moved to telephone call versus in person. So I call the office to double check that before I drive out of my way to find the place again and a different lady answers a little more calmly and professional and she tells me that oh your appointment was canceled. Nobody called or emailed me to let me know that this appointment was canceled and I said I didn’t cancel it and she said that the other receptionist and the doctor both decided to cancel since you were a no-show for two appointments when each appointment I had a reason that I was unable to make it both which were out of my control. Oh, and side note , the receptionist there also lied and told the physician that I never even called to let them know about the two incidents that occurred that I had to reschedule. She just made it sound like I never showed up to any of my appointments that I was originally scheduled to. So watch out for the receptionist staff there they lie

My daughter had texted me about a week 2 weeks ago after her appointment with Dr.Barkha Khumari today. My daughter has been trying to lose weight and has been making healthy lifestyle changes and takes Wegovy as well. She was doing amazing and felt good about the weight she was losing. In addition two months ago my daughter decided to make another very big and positive lifestyle change and decided to quit smoking. Which I might add she has successfully accomplished thus far. Unfortunately like many people who quit smoking they tend to eat more as the oral and psychological.fixation to smoke is quit strong during withdrawal. My daughter had gained back some weight and when she was weighed at her visit today instead of this doctor trying to encourage her to find healthier solutions to the food cravings she made her feel like crap about herself. This doctor lacks any type of bedside" manner and professional etiquette and should really consider being more professional instead of "fat shaming" patients. Perhaps it's her limited medical experience as a doctor or her disdain and bias towards overweight patients. Nonetheless she is not the weight police and should leave her biases and unprofessional at home! In addition my daughter recently learned her insurance was no longer going to pay for the Wegovy she was prescribed. She has been trying to reach out to Dr. Khumari to discuss an alternative covered medication. My daughter has called on several occasions and has tried to contact her and here we are 10 days and counting and no response yet. If whomever reads these comments can get in contact with her and explain the expectations of the doctor patient relationship that would be great.

Dr Swaim always takes the time to listen, does a thorough exam and pays attention to detail at each visit. Both my mom and myself use her as our primary doctor and could not be happier with her care.
