  Only good if your child is healthy. Even if your child is an established patient and is ill, this office will not schedule a same-day or NEXT day visit and instead requires you to call back the following morning at 8:00am along with all the other parents. Other Novant pediatric offices do not follow this policy. When I inquired, I was told that scheduling decisions are left to the providers. It feels as though the practice is more accommodating for well visits, but when a child is sick, families are often have to fend for themselves and being pushed to urgent cares. Disappointing.

  I’ve gone out of my way to drive almost 30 minutes to Blakeney so that my son could be seen by Dr. Fournet and today I confirmed it’s not worth the hassle. They are so overbooked that you need to call day-of to check if they have sick visit appointments and they don’t take walk-ins. Sometimes he can’t be seen for 3 days while he’s sick with an ear infection at which point I just end up taking him to urgent care instead. And today they showed no compassion when I called to let them know I was going to be 15 minutes late to my well visit appointment. They said after their 10 minute grace period I would not be seen. I literally begged, I said “please please please I’m on my way, I’m just stuck in traffic” and they said no exceptions. There was no compassion, just a robot-like front desk voice without a drop of interest in why I was struggling to arrive on time. In case anyone was wondering the reason: my 2 and a half year old is in the midst of potty training and he had just made poopy in his pants while having breakfast this morning. It’s already stressful to be a mom of a toddler, don’t need NOVANT Pediatrics Blakeney making it worse, so I’ll just find a new doctor.

  We love the doctors, nurses, and admin here. We always get prompt service and everyone is very friendly. We have seen several of their doctors and they all are very patient, caring, and experienced. Really happy we found these guys.
