I am not a patient of this practice, however I wandered into this practice while I was lost on my way to an appointment in another part of the building. When I asked for directions at the front desk, I was immediately greeted with “This isn’t the help desk. This is endocrinology. You need to go to the first floor.” As a provider and patient of Novant this was a very unpleasant experience and I would hate to see the way this employee greets patients of the practice. As the first point of contact for this office, it is sad to see that this is the reception this employee gives customers.

I saw Dr Sturdivant in 10/15/2025. Per her instruction, I returned for lab work on 11/6 and scheduled a follow up visit on 4/15/2026. Dr. Sturdivant followed up to my lab work on 1/31/2026. Almost 3-months later! In writing she expressed urgency that I again have lab work before my May (?) appointment. This doctor let 3-months pass knowing I need a change to my current prescription. Knowing I had a surgery scheduled in November and have other concerns. Knowing but not caring. My concern was reported to Novant Customer Service / “patient partnership” prior to posting this review; pending investigation and review of the portal. My inquiry was submitted on 2/3. I was told that I would receive written follow up in 7 days. Nothing had been received. It seems that Novant only wants good reviews
My wife and I had a referred appointment there to get answers for her longterm and ongoing health concerns. She was referred to Dr. Spitz and was told that he's not accepting new patients, even though the Novant System shows that he is. She was seen by Dr. Muppavarapu, who was absolutely horrible! She proceeded to essentially blow her off, not listen to any of her concerns, and proceeded to flat out lied about not having test results that were sent, in system, weeks ago. She also proceeded to lie in her after care report about what was covered in the appointment. Muppavarapu told my wife that Hashimoto's is just a fancy word for hypothyroidism and gave contraindicated advice to take iodine supplements without checking levels first, and lied again when she said there is no test to check iodine levels in the body! This "Dr." is a potential danger for patients and liability for Novant. What was scheduled as a 40 minute appointment, was over in about 15 minutes because the doctor was dismissive of any of my wife's concerns.
Just go to Atrium instead. Easier to get in and the doctors are more professional. My experience with Novant is always a challenge, subpar, and their facilities are alway dirtier than you’d like for doctors office.
