  I had great experiences with Natisha Simms at both of my lactation appointments. She was encouraging, kind, and understanding. I would recommend her to any Mom needing help with breastfeeding, thank you so much!

  Edit: I had a frustrating time figuring out why my lactation consults weren’t 100% covered by my insurance Aetna. Penny at Novant’s customer service took good care of me by working with the insurance directly to make sure these were 100% paid for by insurance. It took a few months, and I wish I gave customer service a call earlier rather than trying to figure it out myself. I am continually impressed by how seriously Novant takes patient feedback. I really enjoyed my 3 lactation appointments here with Shannon and Lois, and would recommend these IBCLCs! Shannon is incredibly passionate and warm. Lois clearly has a wealth of knowledge. My supply came in at 7 days instead of 5, and that whole time I was panicking. They not only helped me go from supplementing with formula to exclusively breastfeeding within a couple weeks, they also helped me so much with the education and mental strength around it! I also enjoyed how quiet and peaceful this smaller office is. They also offer an incredible free resource called Baby Cafe once a week during lunch where they do (within a group setting) weighted feeds and give the opportunity to ask questions to an IBCLCs.
