  I’ve been bringing my 1,5 yo daughter to Novant Health Ballantyne Pediatrics since she was born and today’s experience was disappointing and I’ll definitely find a provider with Atrium. She is very sick and I had to leave work last minute to make a 4:30pm appointment. Due to traffic, I called to say I’d arrive about 12 minutes late. I understand there is a 10 minute grace period but what upset me was the lack of empathy or effort to help from the person to the other side of the line. I was simply told no, with no alternatives or guidance. She also mentioned that it is Friday and stuffing needs to wrap up for the weekend. As a parent, that felt dismissive in a stressful situation. I respect policies, but a little compassion would make a big difference which clearly novant health doesn’t have.

  After more than 20 years as patients and 4+ years bringing our children to Novant Health, we were shocked to receive a dismissal notice for our 4-year-old solely because we declined a particular vaccine and some others moving forward. This experience has completely changed our view of the healthcare system. Rather than working with families and respecting parental choice, it feels like policies are enforced without flexibility or consideration of long term relationships. Being dismissed after years of loyalty over a personal medical decision is extremely disappointing and raises concerns about patient centered care. Families deserve open dialogue and respect, not ultimatums. Although Dr. Owens has been good to our child, our family of 5 will no longer be using Novant Health for any of our medical care needs moving forward. We expected better from a healthcare system we have been a part of so long.

  I highly recommend Dr. Janovski as your child’s pediatrician! Words cannot express how helpful he was with our first born and now with our second. He guided us every step of the way and we couldn't be more blessed! Our children have been seeing him for 4 1/2 years, sadly we are moving out of state and sad to leave this practice. All the staff is so friendly, the front desk makes everything seamless! Thank you for everyone at Novant Health Ballantyne Pediatrics! We will miss you!

  We couldn’t be more grateful for the care our daughter receives here. From day one, Dr. LoSchiavo has been incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. Every visit feels unhurried all of our questions are answered thoroughly, and we never feel brushed off or rushed out the door. He explain things in a way that’s easy to understand and always take the time to make our little one feel comfortable and safe. You can truly tell they care about their patients and families here. We feel so lucky to have found such an amazing pediatrician and highly recommend them to any parent looking for compassionate, top-notch care for their kids!

  Everything about this clinic is wonderful. From caring, competent docs to fabulous front office staff - they treat their patients (and the patients' parents) so well. We have an infant and a 5 year old and they really have come through for us on a variety of illnesses and issues. I like that if you call at 5pm you not only get a human, but if necessary they will fit you in that evening. Really can't recommend them highly enough. A+++++++
