This is my first time visiting lenscrafters in Northlake. I usually go to the competitor for my glasses and even though they are a little more expensive, you are paying for quality glasses and great customer service.

My visit to LensCrafters was sub par at best. Upon walking in no one greeted us. The man was busy with a customer the woman with the full hair at the register and glasses looked up after a few minutes spoke went back to busy work. She finally approached no my name is what is yours , she asked what I was looking for I said black and gold frame glasses. She then states just the frames or lens as well I was like a complete set ( keep in mind we are having this conversation from across the store). She the walks up with the iPad in hand asking if I have my prescription, I advise no and also that last year I purchased 3 sets of glasses from LensCrafters so I believe my prescription should be on file. She asked for my phone number abruptly ( while I was trying to give her my name ) then goes your prescription expired last year and the rep was not suppose to do that it was one month expired last year. She then walks away ( yeah I know she has zero customer service ). I then inquire about the provider next store because of course that’s not in her job title to be helpful or knowledgeable. Overall I have loved every frame purchased and my experience in the hampton Va store at the peninsula towne center has always been a 10/10
Expectation met and exceeded. There is clearly a difference in standards per each store and I in fact will not go back to interact with her or the man who also was unhelpful after his customer departed the store. Maybe the concord location staff will have an understanding of how having customers is in fact how you keep gainful employment. I don’t spend money where Im tolerated with bad services NO THANK YOU, Maybe a refresher course in customer service is needed.

I had a very frustrating experience with this LensCrafters location involving my college-aged daughter who was visiting Charlotte during spring break.
Her contact lens prescription was about to expire and she didn’t have her glasses or backup contacts with her, so I scheduled an appointment here. My instructions to her were simple: get a trial pair of contacts and a copy of the prescription so I could order her contacts through our usual provider.
During the visit, the Dr. Mark Phebus advised her that our insurance allowed her to receive a three-month supply of daily disposable contacts at no cost. That immediately sounded questionable to me, so I had my daughter confirm it with our insurance company. The insurance provider informed us that the benefit referenced had already been used, meaning the information given during the appointment was incorrect.
When we tried to cancel the order immediately after discovering the issue, the staff refused, stating the order was already in process. This was even after an insurance representative attempted to intervene on our behalf.
To make matters worse, my daughter does not wear daily disposable lenses, she normally wears weekly lenses.
Because of this experience, we now have to attempt to return the contacts and restore the benefit, and we will be seeking a second opinion from another provider.
Patients should be able to trust that the information they are given about insurance benefits is accurate and that mistakes can be corrected. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. Buyer beware.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
