Unacceptable Conduct from Pharmacist Allie at Ballantyne Commons Harris Allie, a pharmacist at the Harris Teeter pharmacy on Ballantyne Commons, compels me to speak out. Her behavior was not only unprofessional—it was shockingly dismissive, condescending, and entirely unbecoming of someone entrusted with the responsibility of dispensing medication and counseling patients. After leaving a brief, clear voicemail (as requested) with my name, date of birth, phone number, and a simple request to transfer my prescription to the Adrey Kell location, I received a prompt and courteous call from the Adrey Kell pharmacist. Their service was exemplary—efficient, respectful, and solution-oriented. The following day, I received a call from Allie. She began by identifying herself but could not even confirm her location without asking a colleague. Then, with a tone of irritation, she said she had listened to my “20-second diatribe.” I was stunned. Referring to a concise, factual voicemail as a “diatribe” is not only inaccurate—it’s deeply disrespectful. When I expressed my offense, she doubled down, saying I was “lucky she even called.” That alone should raise serious concerns about her attitude toward patient care. What followed was even more troubling. She accused me of falsely identifying myself as a doctor—an unfounded and inappropriate remark. I calmly corrected her, informing her that I do, in fact, hold a doctoral degree. Rather than apologize, she snapped, “What do you want?”—a question that, in this context, was not only rude but dismissive of the very real responsibility she holds as a pharmacist. When I informed her that I would be reporting her conduct, she offered no apology, no clarification—just a curt “Fine” before ending the call. Let me be clear: I would never accept prescription counseling from someone who exhibits such disregard for basic professionalism and patient dignity. To be fair, the rest of the staff at this location has consistently provided five-star service. Always.

I've been coming here for years and never had an issue until today. I'm familiar with most of the pharmisits but they had a new girl working. I called in my medication as usual, told her that I would try to get it that day but it may be the next morning. When I got there the following day it wasn't ready and I had to wait 45 minutes. I'm a night shift worker so I already had to wait past my bedtime just for them to open. Also just moved and haven't gotten a chance to switch pharmacies yet and went well out of my way to come here. Definitely switching pharmacies asap!

Really enjoy our relationship with HT Pharmacy. Managers seem to give a darn about the customer, are friendly and often help us navigate the best option price wise on prescriptions. We moved our prescriptions from another pharmacy and have been very pleased.
