  My doctor called in a prescription for a name brand only medication, because the generic causes severe side effects for me. I went yesterday to go pick it up, and they gave me a generic. I immediately opened it and returned it to them. They said the name brand was out of stock, but they could order it and it would be here tomorrow. I got a late night text from the pharmacy automated text line that my prescription was canceled. I called today and spoke to an associate, who told me the pharmacist told them it was too expensive for them to fill and to go somewhere else. I pay zero dollars for my medication, and my insurance covers it, so I have a feeling that the pharmacist just didn’t want to lose profit. Gross. Patients should not be denied medication that their insurance covers just because the pharmacist wants to make more money. So unethical. Plus, if my prescription is a day late from application every week I have severe symptoms that puts me in the hospital for several days and Harris Teeter has delayed me a couple of days.

  Knowledgeable, efficient, and #1 helpful staff. Been using this pharmacy for years and have seriously, never had anything but positive encounters and even help to lower costs when possible.

  Harris Teeter must be the worst pharmacy in the civilized world! Orders are lost. Supplies are always short. Lines are long. The website cannot be believed. If you ask for an emergency refill, they give you one day's supply. I will be so glad to drop these people like a hot potato and never, ever deal with them again. Customer beware. The pharmacist says they don't have time to help customers with errors in their order. I am happy to leave these people behind with a raised middle finger. The computer runs the shop here and these people don't have the intelligence or concern to actually help a customer. Goodbye and good ... riddance. Please read the first sentence of this review. It's still true and it still applies.
