  I am not an easy customer (as you can tell by my sign in name), I am not a paid marketing company or a relative of someone who works there. I am a white collar professional with a same sex spouse who has anosognosia dementia. Devastating -- wouldn't wish on an enemy (lying, maybe a couple of people -- we all have them). Amber Webb and her team are superb. They are gentle and understanding. Never once felt like I was "less than" due to same sex relationship. They have a great staff of caring people, They work with schedules and are just wonderful. They roll with the mood swings and give me breathing room again. Try them for a week and do some self care, even if it just 4 hours a day. You burning out or ending up in the hospital yourself will cost more.

  Where to start with these great folks? From the very beginning, Kristin, my first point of contact, was awesome. She totally understood the concerns I had about my brother's care, including offering the fact that she had some similar issues with caring for her parents, which really put me at ease. She also had a happy, enthusiastic, can-do, compassionate attitude, and answered every question I asked and offered solutions I had not thought of. I can't say enough about how pleasant it was to work with her. I also have to commend the rest of the folks I spoke with and met with at Homeinstead. Everyone was professional, courteous, warm and friendly. I needed to put some specific care in place quickly, and they made it happen in a matter of about two days, which was amazing. I also really appreciate how Kristin and the rest took all of the information I gave them, plus what they learned from meeting my brother, and came up with a caregiver for him who has turned out to be a perfect match, first try. That was not my experience with another provider. Finally, I want to appreciate that caregiver, Marina, who is just awesome. Besides being professional and dedicated, she is very personable and pleasant and goodnatured, with a great sense of humor. My brother looks forward to her visits and she takes great care of him, and it adds a good measure of happiness to his difficult days. All in all, my experience with Homeinstead has been top-notch. I highly recommend them to anyone needing care for a loved one.
