  I was in to see Cindy for sleep apnea. She is a beautiful hearted woman, compassionate and understanding. She is top notch in what she does. She takes time to hear your needs and offers education and guidance to treat your symptoms. Would 100% recommend this office for both dental and appliance needs.

  Mountaineer Dental in Boone NC is truly a hidden gem. It has up to date equipment & is run by knowable Dr’s. Plus it has well trained & caring employees!

  Depending on what day you call their office, you might have a friendly and productive conversation with the office staff, or have a dismissive and hurried response from the front office. During routine visits for 6 month cleanings, I was spoken to by Dr Snyder about the shape of my throat, and that I should be evaluated for sleep apnea several times. I had very recently had a sleep study done through my medical PCP’s office, and I was not diagnosed with any sleep apnea, I felt uncomfortable about the pressure to be evaluated for a condition that I don’t have and that I place in the “wheelhouse” of my medical physician. I found it increasingly difficult to schedule an appointment in a realistic timeframe, and I requested and was placed on the waiting list for any cancellation which would allow for an earlier appointment. I never received a call, and after waiting over 3 months ended up having to wait until the following calendar year to have dental work completed that was covered by my dental insurance. That was an expensive wait for me because of unused dental insurance benefits, and was the final straw that caused me and my husband to search for a new dentist.
