  I have to say I've had other surgical experiences in Asheville that weren't 100% comfortable to me but I must say and I repeat must say that Novant surgery and Doctor Hernandez made me feel 100% comfortable to the whole experience even afterwards with personal calls from the doctor to check on you and the whole team is amazing until you leave making you want to have your next surgery provided by the same people I want to say thank you for coming to Asheville and I highly recommend them for hernia surgeries!

  I cant speak highly enough about Novant! I had surgery with Dr. Ahearne and PA Amy Murray. They were amazing! Honestly every single staff member was! My experience with Novant was a standard of care I havent had before!

  Exceptional Care and Skilled Hands I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Ahearne and PA Amy Murray. They performed two surgeries for me — one being an urgent operation right before Christmas 2024, which Dr. Ahearne made time for in his busy schedule. That first surgery truly saved my life. It allowed me to eat again and regain my strength, to get through treatments. The second procedure, a bowel resection, went exceptionally well. I healed quickly, and considering everything I had done, I have very minimal scarring — something I hadn’t even thought to ask about given my situation, but the doctors clearly did. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their patients shows in every way. I was originally referred to Dr. Ahearne by a family member who also had a great experience. Both Dr. Ahearne and Amy take their work seriously, communicate clearly, and make you feel truly cared for. I am incredibly grateful for their skill, compassion, and dedication. Highly recommend them both.
