I came here after having a terrible experience at Stanton optical. I’d never been to the mall so it was hard to navigate and anxiety inducing with holiday consumers, but once I found the store I was greeted and seen within minutes. The technician was kind and personable and the doctor, William Beaty took his time and answered all of my questions. I am confident that I was given the correct prescription, unlike Stanton, and care was provided by an expert. Thank you!

They made me give all of my information through the phone, which i was already not comfortable with. They asked me for ssn through the phone when my appointment was literally the next day. And they messed up on my insurance, and they told me they couldn’t fix it.??? So because they made a mistake on my insurance, I can’t go back to them unless I want to pay full price

I came in to bring my brother for an exam, and since I’ve been here before and already had a world-class experience with Mike, I was the one doing the talking at check-in. A new girl (not Keely) checked us in. I asked her what the price would be just for the exam and she told me $175. Cool I said okay and went to pay. Then right after ringing me up, she stopped and said, “you’ll pay at the end.” No problem. Didn’t think twice. Same as before.
My brother went in, had a great experience, and came out happy. Then I went to pay.
That’s when Keely stepped in and she’s always been nothing but amazing. She helped me earlier this year and is genuinely one of the sweetest, most helpful people in that office. She told me the exam was $275, and since she wasn’t the one who checked us in, I explained calmly
“Hey, no big deal, but the girl up front told me it was $175.”
Keely immediately understood, apologized, and was totally professional about it, exactly why I’ve always loved dealing with her.
But then the new girl jumped in with an attitude, saying, “No, I did say it was 275, I told you it would be this plus that…” and started doubling down.
Listen… I grew up with four older sisters. I know that tone. 😂 She was definitely upset, and it wasn’t necessary. Again it’s not about the money. I truly don’t care.
It’s the lying and the lack of professionalism. If you make a mistake, just own up to it. That’s it. It’s crazy how much business a place can lose because of one employee having an attitude on the wrong day.
Now the absolute star of this entire business is Mike. This guy is phenomenal. He literally knows every product in that store, inside and out. And what blew me away was that I was scared of contacts when I first came in (which isn’t even his department), and he personally followed up and called me exactly 24 hours later just to make sure I was okay. That kind of service is rare anywhere.
I work for a motor corporation and honestly, I’d steal Mike if I could. 😂 He’s that good.
Keely and Mike are outstanding, and they deserve all the credit in the world. But one bad interaction at the front ruined the trust for me, so unfortunately I won’t be returning. But I’d still recommend this place if you need good doctors. And a good selection of glasses!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
