  I have been going to Appalachian Dental for a few years now and noticed that just about every time I went there was a new hygienist. This past visit there was a new doctor who has to be brand new out of dental school. Not only did she not examine my teeth or do a cancer screening but I have sent an email sharing my experience and have yet to hear back. This is my last attempt. The trend of older dentists bringing in new dentists to do all the work and hopefully hold a practice together is not the way to go. It becomes very apparent and how you lose patients. I am done with this practice like my last one and encourage individuals to ensure this is not how a practice is run when they look for a new dentist.

  They keep cancelling appointments at the last moment (call you when you are already on the way there). And if you miss their call, they chastise you as if them canceling was somehow your fault. Always an excuse - hygienist didn't show up or whatever. Did that to both of us more than once. Maybe they should hire hygienists that are more focused on showing up for work rather than on displaying septum rings and attitudes.

  Absolutely wonderful! Dr. Chernin and her staff went well beyond simple dental care. Their level of professionalism and attention to patient need is more than I have ever experienced in any other dental office. I will be going to see Dr. Chernin from now on!
