I am deeply concerned by the lack of privacy and safety at this gym. I have noticed a member filming others, often without their consent, and posting footage to social media with captions or audio that seemed intended to mock another member. This same individual frequently monopolizes multiple pieces of equipment and leaves personal items on unused machines. He also places a tripod on unused machines or in the middle of the gym, which can make beginners feel pushed out of their personal workout area and uncomfortable using equipment. I understand that some members film their workouts for content, and that’s completely fine. However, it shouldn’t come at the expense of other members’ comfort, privacy, or ability to use the space. Setting up equipment in shared walkways or capturing others without consent crosses that line. This picture shows that the tripod setup covers almost seven pieces of equipment while other users are present — this should not be allowed. The dismissive attitude toward others creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. It’s a shame because this is a good gym with tons of potential to be a positive environment — just one bad user can ruin everyone’s experience. I really hope management addresses this issue, because I would hate to give this place a 3-star rating. I hope management will take steps to enforce basic gym etiquette and ensure respect and privacy for all members.

With so many gyms in the area, Iron Lair truly feels like a second home to me. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a genuine, friendly greeting—they take the time to connect, get to know you, and understand your fitness goals. That level of personal attention and care is something I haven’t experienced at other gyms nearby. If you’re looking for a place with the right environment, a strong sense of community, and the opportunity to support a local, family-owned business, this is it. The equipment is exceptional, especially their refurbished old-school machines that you won’t find anywhere else in the area. Beyond that, they offer great amenities like red light therapy, a sauna, and a posing room. What really sets Iron Lair apart, though, is the people. The community is welcoming, supportive, and always willing to help—whether you’re new to working out or just need guidance on a machine. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re treated like family. It’s hard to fully put into words, but this place is something special. I highly recommend checking it out!

Love this gym because it feels nothing like a typical commercial gym. It has a real local business feel, and you can tell the owners genuinely care since the equipment is always well kept and they’re in there working out regularly which you do not see in commercial gyms. What really surprised me was how transparent everything was when I joined—no weird contracts or hidden pricing like most commercial gyms. Aidan clearly cares about making this the best gym possible, and Dan is super down to earth and always great to talk to. They’re also always trying to improve the place with expansion and new equipment, which I really appreciate. Yes. Some people use tripods, but honestly it’s not been an issue from my experience—they’ve always moved it when I asked.

I moved out here at the end of December and coming from the Bay area, this place is a delight! I love the equipment, the people and the fact that there really are no time constraints. The owner is also a very well versed bodybuilding coach. The business is very well managed and it shows.
