Dr Kelly is amazing not only with adults, but with kids as well, even the ones super sensitive to even slightest pain. I took my kids to him for different issues, one had a small surgery (if I name that procedure correctly). It went great and Dr Kelly was able to make my son feel less anxious about the process. So glad I found such an amazing doctor, our family will be seeing him for any feet-related issues from now on.

Tried to set up an appt. the other day. Was on hold ten minutes before anyone answered; then another ten minutes of representative asking repeatedly what happened to my (badly stubbed) toe. As if she never wrote anything down the first two times. I asked if we can live this along as I had to go to work and knew I’d b have to repeat all these details to a doctor anyway. She got stern with me and said she couldn’t go any faster. I said fine, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

TL;DR: They're fine and the doctors are fine, as long as you don't have any questions about or issues related to your bill. They spent 7 months ignoring my calls then sent the bill to collections. ------------------ In May of 2023, Foot & Ankle Specialists filed my claim incorrectly with insurance (incorrect date of service) and it was denied. I spoke with insurance and have a recording of the insurance agent saying that if FAS resubmitted my claim with the corrected date, it would be paid. Fast forward to November 2024, when I received a bill from FAS. They had not resubmitted to insurance. I called the main billing office for Foot & Ankle Specialists of the mid-Atlantic, but the rep said she couldn’t access my account and told me to contact my local office. Over the next 6 months, I called my local office and the regional office at least 20 times. Despite leaving voicemails and messages with receptionist, the in-practice billing manager (who I was advised to speak to) never returned a single call. Eventually I went to the office to see if I could get someone to talk to me. The receptionist was incredibly rude, even hostile. He yelled at me and would not let me finish a sentence. All he said was that he told me insurance wouldn’t pay for them, and that whoever I spoke with in the mid-Atlantic billing office was lying if they said they couldn't access my account. Finally he told me that the in-practice billing manager was based in the Cary office, and that’s why he never returned any of my calls. I started calling the Cary office but had similar results. I eventually stopped by there and the staff was quite nice and took down my message, but no one ever called me. After 7 months of just trying to get someone to talk to me, my bill went to collections and I paid it to avoid credit damage. It is absolutely beyond me how any business runs this way, it’s shameful. If you get 10 messages from one person for someone who doesn’t work at your location, how do you not call back the person and let them know ‘hey, they aren’t here and you should try here’? How is it remotely ethical for them to bill me and then refuse to speak to me at all about the bill and ultimately send it to collections? I know that our healthcare system has issues, but generally (in my experience) they’re with the insurance companies and not with the medical practices themselves.

Great progress in one day after my visit. Doctor identified my issue, discussed options, and after treatment I am free of nail pain for first time in 8 weeks.
