I would strongly caution others before seeking care here. Without ever meeting me or conducting any form of evaluation, Dr. Hirata made the decision to change a medication I have been stable on for over five years. This kind of action, taken without patient consultation or assessment, is both concerning and unprofessional.
My experience with Novant Health has been extremely disappointing overall. Communication has been poor, and the level of care has not met even basic expectations. Patients deserve to be heard, evaluated, and included in decisions about their own health.
I highly recommend looking elsewhere for healthcare if you value thorough, patient-centered care.

This office could care less about taking care of its patients. Extremely unhelpful, uncaring, and rude when it came to helping fill my prescription, that I have been on for two years, while transfering to a new office closer to my home. This caused me to miss doses of my medication and Tammy there couldn't be less bothered to reach out or help find a solution. They will not have your best interest in mind when making decisions, and your health concerns are just miniscule problems to them. Go anywhere else near you if available.

I just spent the past 4 out of 5 days this week trying to get a simple prescription refill. After contacting the local Walgreens, who has issues of their own with their undependable phone system, I was told I would need to contact my doctors office since it had been over 18 months since my prescription had been refilled. That’s when all the real problems started. I’ve had to call daily to see if the supposed messages to Dr. Hirata requesting my prescription refill had been read and therefore approved and sent to the pharmacy. Each time they would claim that they sent a message to him, but he had not read nor sent the request to the pharmacy yet. Extremely frustrating. 4 days? No excuse. I couldn’t understand why they couldn’t just tap him on the shoulder as a physical reminder to him that he had messages that he had not responded to yet. But that seemed impossible. Then today After calling at 8 AM, I told them that if it wasn’t called in and filled by lunchtime today, after all the time I have been waiting, that I would simply change doctors. Of course, I heard nothing by lunch, nor thereafter. So I’m following through. Extremely frustrated and disappointed. It’s a good thing this wasn’t a crucial medication like Blood pressure medicine, or my overall health could have been grossly affected. You Can be kind all you want, but if you can’t follow up and follow through with actions, kindness means nothing. Not happy.

Personable staff, yet also efficient and professional at the same time. It was very nice to see the combination.
