I bought my first pair of Meta Ray-Bans in early September 2025. Shortly after, I heard the news that the second generation (Gen 2) had been released. Since it had been almost two weeks, I called LensCrafters to ask if I could exchange my Gen 1 for the new Gen 2 model. They agreed and scheduled an in-store exchange for that Saturday.
Before leaving for the store, I called again to confirm the exchange, and they reassured me it would be possible. I traveled to the store with my cousin. When we arrived, an employee was busy with another customer, so we waited. Eventually, the manager, a Black woman, asked if we needed help. I explained that I was there to exchange my Gen 1 glasses for the Gen 2 model. She refused. When I asked why, she just kept shrugging her shoulders.
I left the store and called LensCrafters customer support. They confirmed that I was eligible for an exchange. After I explained that the store manager had refused, the support agent suggested I return the glasses for a refund and then order the Gen 2 model.
I went back into the store to process the return. The manager then told me that once I returned the glasses, I would not be allowed to repurchase the same model. I was confused because the Gen 2 is a different product; it's not the same glasses.
I do not recommend going to this store. The experience was very poor. After getting my refund, I went online and purchased the Gen 2 version from LensCrafters' website without any issue—a stark contrast to the bad experience in the store.
They made me waste gas and travel to the store for nothing despite called them twice for clarification! I do not recommend this location. Go elsewhere.

Justin has astounding customer service that I wish could be taught but it just seems to come naturally. He was extremely helpful & what was most enjoyable was that he wasn’t one of those associates that hounds/hover about jonesing for a sale. He truly seemed invested in helping me as a person not just another customer. Just from this experience I will frequent any location he is running & if he isn’t running the Barnes Crossing Mall of Tupelo MS then he definitely should be!

I got safety glasses thru my work less than two months ago. I put them on this past Monday and couldn’t see clearly thru them. I tried to have the anti reflective coating fixed on them. I was told that it was because of the metal dust from my work that was on them when I cleaned them that messed up the lenses. I am a lead over a machine shop and don’t machine anymore. So the next response that I got was the company that I work for has a really good program and for me just to tell them that they broke. I guess my employer just needs to pay more money for their poor quality. My glasses haven’t been cleaned with anything but a lens cloth. So their reflective coating only needs to last long enough to get past their 30 day warranty. Shop anywhere for glasses but LensCrafters in the mall.

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
