In fact, my entire family now sees her. Dr. Smothers actually takes time with her patients to explain in terms we understand. She is an asset to this office.

I finally went back today because I needed to be seen more urgently and they are close. I thought maybe it's gotten better. Nope. HUGE mistake. After triage, I was placed in a room for 45 minutes. Was standing up to walk out when the provider finally came in. The place was a ghost town. Will never go back. Also reviewing this provider for her terrible manner.

Dr Smothers.. specifically Dr Leslie Smothers, was told she was great, very thorough etc…. That was the complete opposite of what she was with me when i saw her for my appointment, mind you, i’m there for a routine Pelvic check, all that plus i was concerned about a few things that i don’t have a lot of knowledge on, the entire time of my appointment she never looked up from her stupid laptop once to look me in my eyes and talk to me or even just give me a ounce of “hey i care about whatever it is you are here for” .. when women go to the doctors for these things we are already anxious as it is… Dr Leslie Smothers did not make me feel welcomed, relaxed, or that she even cared, nothing! if anything she made it worse for me! She talked to me in such a tone about things that i literally felt stupid for asking the questions i was asking, her responses were not professional at all!!! oh! and walking out of the room and shutting the door in the middle of (me) a PATIENT TALKING!! I will NEVER choose Leslie Smothers to see at desoto family medical again, she was chosen for me the first time and i wish she wouldn’t have been, my experience at desoto family medical with Smothers was very unprofessional and she made me very uncomfortable, her nurse along side her didn’t help as well!! i can’t remember her name but promise i will find out her name. CHOOSE WISELY PEOPLE! don’t like the job you do, get out of the field. plenty of other nice people who genuinely enjoy what they do waiting for your spot and i hope they take it. DO BETTER!!!! or you’ll be seeing my name that’s all for now - Olivia E 😊
