- SKStephen KellyMar 4, 20265.0I had to make a same day appointment at Desoto Family Medical, and since it had been more than 3 years since my last visit, I was technically a new patient. Same day appointment. New patient paperwork. I expected to be there 2 hours minimum. Instead, I was talking to Dr. Tillotson within about 30 minutes of my arrival, which is astounding. Dr. Tillotson was courteous and thorough. He told me what tests they would be running and explained the results. He had me seen and out the door in less time than it's taken me to get out of the waiting room some places. He even followed up to check on me that evening and the next day and go over my labs. He recommended I see a cardiologist, and when I agreed, he and the team worked to set up my referral and get me an appointment. Dr. Tillotson was fantastic, and I plan to reestablish my primary care at Desoto Family Medical moving forward.

In fact, my entire family now sees her. Dr. Smothers actually takes time with her patients to explain in terms we understand. She is an asset to this office.
