They are friendly enough, but the way they handle insurance is not acceptable to me.
They request a Primary care referral. I did that, which also prompted and insurance referral. They waited until the day of the appointment to let me know that the PC referral wasn’t sufficient, despite having that information when the appointment was scheduled. I had our insurance resend the referral since they wouldn’t accept my print out. They still wouldn’t accept it since it had a different facility on there. Insurance even called them to confirm that the referral was fine, but wouldn’t have their name because they’re not in the system. The eye glass center refuses to accept the insurance. They even said they needed the referral from PC again.
This is all information that should be discussed when they stated that they would take tri care, not the day of the appointment.
I believe this was done intentionally to avoid taking the insurance. They charge way more than any other local eye exams.
My daughter needed the appointment and everyone else is booked out.
I will be finding someone who actually takes our insurance next time.

Recently changed employers and with that comes some trying moments of finding the right fit for insurances. I scheduled an appointment for my kiddos, the day came (I love that they have Saturday availability too). Ironically enough that morning my eye was puffy when I got up that morning—not pink eye— the Dr immediately asked about my eye, and I mentioned that I wasn’t there for me, but she still was concerned. While I just assumed I was having a reaction to my new makeup she mentioned other things it could be while I was in with my child. I love that she cared enough to ask even though I mentioned I wasn’t there for me.

I got fired as a patient because I had surgery and had to cancel my eye exam. Talk about wild, let me take to my doctor and say hey bro my eye center said I can't have surgery until after. Like what

A fantastic experience all around from reception to the actual exam! Dr. Wilson was my kids first optimist and I couldn’t be more grateful that she was. She was so patient with them and made the sure they were comfortable.
