  We didn’t necessarily have a bad experience, so this is merely a suggestion for anyone who is checking in for an appointment in orthopedics, and you have small children who will want to walk down the hall to visit the play area with the buses. When checking in, we were told we did not need name badges since we were just going to ortho right there by the welcome desk. We didn’t think anything of it, but when our son’s appointment was over he wanted to walk down to “drive the bus” (we have been here many times and he loves this little area) and we were told we could not go that way unless we checked in again and got name badges. We even had our discharge papers from the appointment. I understand these are the rules and for safety reasons, and it’s good to know that the security guards at the door are doing their job. There was a huge line going out the doors of about 20 people waiting to check in so we of course were not going to wait in that line to check in (again). Our son was very sad. So, long story short, if you think you will want to go anywhere else in the hospital (just down the hall to the play area or even Starbucks), after your appointment in Ortho, I would recommend getting the name badge even if the lady at the desk says you don’t need one.

  I brought my daughter in last night because she wasn't eating or drink having wet diapers the Nurse practitioner came in listen to her checked her ears and gave her some Gatorade to try and get her to drink which she never did an hr a nurse came in and told me we could go home and I refused the NP came back in tried popsicle apple juice she still refused no ever checked to see if she was doing okay or anything finally got irritated and decide to leave the nurse told me good I end up having to take her to a second er and she was dehydrated and put on IV this very disappointing for a hospital that is designed for children

  My niece was sent to the NICU and I can’t say enough good things about the hospital. All the staff were so kind and professional and clearly care about their job and the babies in their care. The security were all friendly and even the cafeteria staff were amazing. Thank you for all your work, it is appreciated!

  Customer service at the front desks and over the phone to make appointment is terrible. They are rude and have horrible attitude. The nurses and Drs are the opposite. They are professional and helpful. If you can get past the front desk people it’s not a bad place to bring your child.
