I had a deeply disappointing experience with an employee named Byron Beal at the YMCA. His behavior was shockingly unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in an environment that is supposed to be safe and welcoming for families.
During our interaction, he spoke to my brother in a disrespectful and aggressive manner, including the use of inappropriate language that no staff member should ever direct toward a young person. Regardless of the situation, there is no excuse for an adult in a position of responsibility to communicate that way.
What made the situation worse was the complete lack of professionalism and self-control he displayed. Staff members at a community organization like the YMCA should model respect, patience, and maturity—not hostility.
This experience has seriously impacted my perception of the YMCA, and I hope management takes concerns like this seriously moving forward. No family should feel uncomfortable or disrespected in a place that is meant to support and uplift the community.

It has every kind of equipment you will need for a good workout. Have been going the for over 10 years. They have renovated and updated equipment over the last 2 years.

Great gym, very friendly staff. Sadly a lot of machines are broken and have been broken for 6months or so. I have been a member here for many years and the decline over the last year is very concerning. I hope it comes back and they get their equipment up to date. It’s always busy so I’m sure the money isnt the problem
