  I have been reflecting on my experience I had this last weekend and I am still put off by an interaction I had with the instructor Natalie. On Saturday my mom and I attended the hot yoga class at 8 am taught by Natalie. My mom brought her phone with her into the class, turned it on silent, and tucked it under her mat. I’ll be honest, I was a little confused as to why mom my did this, and I wasn’t thrilled that she did. I understand that a yoga class is supposed to be a sanctuary away from electronics. About twenty minutes into the class, Natalie asked me if she could use my mom’s phone to type something on it. I turned to my mom and asked her, to which my mom obliged. My mom wasn’t using her phone at all during the class, it was simply poking out from under her mat. When my mom handed over her phone, Natalie took it and walked it across the room and placed it in a closet and closed the door to the closet. At the end of class, Natalie never acknowledged us again and did not return the phone. We had to fetch it ourselves from where she had stowed it. Then when leaving the studio, again she never acknowledged us, and I’m pretty sure she was avoiding us. I’m disturbed by the fact that she lied to me to obtain the phone. I think it would have been more appropriate if she had been honest and approached my mom and said something to the effect of, “do you mind if I put this out of your way during the class?” I think a little honesty and politeness would have been well received. She also could have talked to us after class and smoothed the situation over, but she ignored us. Due to this I will not be returning. She had bad energy and I did not appreciate the way she handled the situation.

  I’ve taken a few of the hot yoga classes and they are amazing. I’m a beginner with yoga but the instructors are supportive and encouraging. I feel grounded, refreshed and stronger after each session.

  I’ve been to several yoga studios, but Yoga Six really stands out. Not only is the instruction outstanding, but the facilities are top notch and there’s a sense of community here. I really enjoy the challenge of sculpt classes and the deep stretching of their restore classes. Check it out! 5/5!

  Overall one of the best yoga studios in St. Louis. Great teachers, classes and facility. So many different class types and offerings; this studio has something for everyone.
