The staff of the urgent care here is great and efficient, I’ve had good experiences with most of the older women there, especially the one with an accent; very good work ethic.
However, Yousaf Jalil, one of the doctors at this establishment, is the main reason I have not been to see a doctor in years.
I went to see him forever ago, at a very hard time during my life, and during the appointment I was extremely nervous and anxious. I remember he was very professional with me in front of the nurse help, but once we were alone, near the end of the appointment, he whispered in my ear, “I don’t want to see you back here for another year!”. Keep in mind this was literally my first appointment. Looking back, I think he detested my overly anxious energy and questions about my health, and that he was just annoyed.
But I remember the way it made me feel, I was pretty young at the time. I felt talked down to, and the way it was delivered and the words in themselves, made me subconsciously and consciously never go to a doctor again.
I’m older now and don’t really care that much about it all, maybe he’s just bitter or just so into the day in day out of it all, I’m not sure. Whatever, wish him well, but yeah not a good experience with the doctors here.
