This training includes classroom instruction and hands-on training in our personal care lab where care professionals are taught and must demonstrate proficiency with the use of a gait belt, transfers, bathing, toileting and a number of other hands-on personal care services.
Do you have experience with Alzheimer's and dementia care?
Yes, many of our clients have Alzheimer's or dementia. Our Care Professional go thru dedicated training on how to specifically provide care for and manage behaviors of clients with these cognitive issues.
Do the people you send out to our home work for you?
Yes, all of our Care Professionals are our employees. Prior to employment with Home Instead they must pass a background check and a drug screen. We also check both personal and professional references. After that they go thru our Home Instead training program.
