Every team member at Home Instead has superb professionalism and is a joy to work with. (Ashley is simply the best Client Care Coordinator.) Mom looks forward to each visit and enjoys her caregivers' company tremendously. Nadia contributes to moms continued independence through helping with healthy eating and exercise as well as alleviates loneliness. Mom adores Nadia. We chose Home Instead because they are a national company, they provide a variety of services from basic home companion visits up to hospice support (allowing us to move forward with the same company through each stage as life progresses), and most importantly for the continued independent lifestyle it gives mom. The staff at Home Instead are flexible, responsive, kind, compassionate. Mom thinks of the people who come to see her as friends. All of our Care Professionals go thru training with Home Instead prior to visiting clients. This training includes classroom instruction and hands-on training in our personal care lab where care professionals are taught and must demonstrate proficiency with the use of a gait belt, transfers, bathing, toileting and a number of other hands-on personal care services.
Do you have experience with Alzheimer's and dementia care?
Yes, many of our clients have Alzheimer's or dementia. Our Care Professional go thru dedicated training on how to specifically provide care for and manage behaviors of clients with these cognitive issues.
Do the people you send out to our home work for you?
Yes, all of our Care Professionals are our employees. Prior to employment with Home Instead they must pass a background check and a drug screen. We also check both personal and professional references. After that they go thru our Home Instead training program.
