  everyone was nice from check in to the practitioner. I had been to a different urgent care twice before this but this is the first time someone actually took the time to help me get down to the bottom of my issues and not just prescribe me something. Cora was great and kind and I’ll definitely be back to this location.

  I brought my foster child to be seen for a physical exam (required by Missouri within 24 hours of entering foster care). The provider CNP Stranquist refused to see him due to his autism. I returned to get documentation that she wouldn't see him and she then said, "We don't provide that service." I clarified that this morning she said she wouldn't see him due to his autism. She said, "Well, yes, but we also don't provide that service." I said, "You don't do physical exams?" She said, "Not if it has anything to do with foster care." So- I wouldn't bring a child with autism here or try to be seen for an entry to care visit. On top of the refusal, I could hear her talking about the child and saying how uncomfortable she was through the door.

  DO NOT GO to this place. All SSM health urgent cares are stand alone Emergency rooms! They charge you as if you visited Emergency room, even though it was advertised as urgent care. When I called billing, they said both ER and urgent care share the same billing code. We got a huge bill even with good insurance. They mislead and scam patients. They need to change the name to ER.

  The care and diagnosis was excellent, and the Rx prescribed was appropriate. My only complaint is that the Rx prescribed (Cephalexin) by the nurse practioner was in tablet form, my Medicare drug plan only covers it in capsule form, so they denied coverage. At the time I picked up the prescription I went ahead and paid for it since I needed to start on the medication and I didn't know what the problem was. I'm not sure if I should have known that tablets vs capsules would be denied or if the nurse practioner who wrote the prescription should have known. Part D drug plans can sometimes be complicated to figure out. I'm appealing the decision by the drug plan to deny the claim.... Here's an update. My appeal was denied because SSM Urgent Care did not respond to my medicare drug plans multiple fax requests for additional information concerning the prescription. I then sent a request to the main SSM patient website for help, but did not get a reply, So I guess my care wasn't so outstanding.

  I wish I would have read the reviews before setting up a appointment..Dont waste your time making and appointment..you probably will have a better chance as a walk in..I will not return to this location..Set an appointment for 11:30 arrived 5mins before appointment..checked in understand they might be a lil behind..11:45 ask how long will it be..lady said she really didn’t know but as soon as a room comes available she will call us..12:00 comes a room become available this wanch calls the guys that is a walk in before us..And yes a walk in because we have a conversation while we was waiting.. I told her im taking my son somewhere else.. I didn’t want to go to the one close to me cause they are trash only to come to the Maryland Heights location and they’re trash too
