While the folks are nice and facility is well kept my 3 star rating has to do with: - There are classes. But, they're always full. Even when I get in they're uncomfortably packed. - There's no code of conduct in the sauna. I imagine peace, but the ten or so times I have been in two years of $80/mth membership there's always folks willing to lay across the benches and listen to music I'd rather not. This is a rude people problem, I get that, but it'd be great if there were some rule to back me up when I say, "Hey man, you can't take the sitting room of four folks, and I don't want to hear 'What is Love' on repeat while attempting to relax." I keep the membership hoping to get my children into lessons and such, and me into the sauna. Lessons have been full season after season. And, I must have gone to sign up for yoga 100 times with a ten percent success rate. Yet... I pay all the same. The pool looked decent when signing up, but was an instant big time downer when got down to it. The ugly defunct rusty metal contraption that might have been fun in '99 is just yuck. And, the inability to actually swim has my children really bummed. Is Maryland Heights just for old people and newborns, with no consideration between? There's room for improvement.

I had a stellar experience joining today thanks to Heather. Her ability to facilitate the membership signup was simply masterful. She took what could have been a boring paperwork process and made it efficient, informative, and actually enjoyable. She is sharp, professional, and genuinely dedicated to the member experience. Heather is exactly the kind of person who keeps the Y running strong—she deserves all the recognition!

Great track for walking … much safer than the rough sidewalks around here. Lots of other seniors working out during mid-morning or mid-afternoon so I fit in. Friendly professional staff!

Having the seperate room with weights and treadmills really cuts down on the high traffic in the gym! Feels a lot more open.
