  -Equipment is old and barely maintained despite Club raising the price more and more. -Bathrooms are poorly maintained and the most "cleaning" they do is spraying down everything with disinfectant, and hand soap is constantly out. Their solution is to replace it with hand sanitizer instead of having enough soap on hand. -One of the employees walks around flirting with the women. I'm here 3-4 times a week and I witness it frequently. -AI "massage" is stupid and I guarantee nobody but some incompetent Exec requested the feature. -The only plus this place has is the variety of equipment, and that's about it. Avoid this place and give your money to someplace better.

  I’ve been a member of Club Fitness/Club Elite since 2020 and have always genuinely liked the Maplewood location. Even though my home gym is Affton, I’ve continued to come to Maplewood regularly because I’ve always enjoyed the space and the overall vibe. I also really value supporting a local company. That said, it feels like things have started to go downhill recently. I completely understand that prices increase over time, that’s expected, but it’s frustrating when those increases don’t seem to match the condition of the facility. There are frequently machines out of order, especially ellipticals and other cardio equipment. The water fountains often don’t work properly or aren’t well maintained. It’s becoming more common to walk in and immediately see multiple “out of order” signs. What’s confusing is that while basic equipment maintenance seems to lag, new “premium” add-ons keep appearing: like the AI massage robot and tiered wellness amenities. Meanwhile, we’re paying comparable prices to newer and significantly better-maintained Club Elite locations like Arnold or St. Peters. Even some standard Club Fitness locations (like Florissant) have newer equipment and noticeably more squat racks than Maplewood. I’ve always supported this company because it’s local and I’ve had good experiences over the years. I just hope leadership refocuses on the basics, functional equipment, clean and working water stations, and consistent upkeep, before expanding into more niche or premium features. The core experience matters most to long-term members. I’m sharing this because I want the Maplewood location to thrive again the way it used to.

  Its an OK location older machines, small turf area, lots of random members from the Influencers filming themselves on the treadmills to the actually people working out. The Aescape Robot massage is there but its in the front so its very bright in there needs some mood lighting. Lots of parking,

  I love this gym....but since I have been starting to coming in from 2am to 4am you have people sleeping on the hydrobeds and the saunas. I dont know what their reasons or situations are but as a paying customer I want to come in get my sauna and massage without inconveniences like this. Hope this situation gets solved. Day 3 at February 13th at 3:00am the same woman is in the sauna with the door open and I can't enjoy it. I will keep this updated. And the same 3 people sleeping in the hydro lounge again. every morning!

  During my workout, I was bullied by Several other members. I was on the elliptical machine when they came over and started talking around my machine. After about 10 minutes, the bulk of the people talking left and two members got onto elliptical machines on both sides of me. These two members proceeded to talk over me to each other to the point where I could not hear my music or get in my workout zone. After almost 20 minutes, I left my machine because I couldn’t focus on my workout anymore because they wouldn’t stop talking over me. I did ask them to stop and they refuse. They said they had not spoken since one of them had been on vacation. I told them it was a gym and not a place to talk, but instead of caring about my workout and how they had ruined it, they just took over my machine and ignored me. When I went to complain about this incident, I was not taken seriously. The manager laughed in my face, which made me cry. I would not recommend this gym. You will get bullied there and no one will help you.
