- SSsjstFeb 5, 20181.0My review is specifically for Carla Pearman who was the doctor on call when I delivered my daughter. She came in last minute, no introduction, with her huge cluster of viewers (none of which I permitted to enter prior to delivery) and barely spoke to me. She took it upon herself to cut me to get the baby out quicker. I had only pushed 15 minutes, 5 with my second & third- who I didn’t tear at all with just for comparison. Then proceeded to stick her arm in elbow deep to rip out my placenta in chunks immediately after delivering. Your placenta should deliver on its own FYI, with baby # 2 and 3 it was out in 10 minutes. Typically you are too distracted with your new baby to notice much else around you, but trust me.. the pain of this was noticed. Did I mention I delivered naturally and un-medicated, so I felt everything? This doctor is barbaric, so PLEASE be warned not to let her disrespect your body or your birth. There was no medical reason for what she did...she wanted to take over my birth experience and get out of there quickly on a Sunday morning. My mother who is a nurse witnessed all of this and filed a formal report with the hospital without me knowing, and I’m very glad she did.
