Closed early for NYE but no sign on the door to indicate that was going to happen & google maps also shows they close at 7. The lady that opened the door said they closed at 4pm & it was 445pm. Very unprofessional & unapologetic. We went to Vision Works for excellent service instead. Previously, had great experiences at this location so this was a disappointing experience.

I walked in no appointment and they were able to get me right in. Heather was very friendly and helpful. She helped me pick out the perfect pair of glasses. The doctor was awesome as well. He explained the exam even showing pictures of my eyes and explaining how everything works. Most importantly there were no high pressure sales pitches or up sales. A very pleasant experience overall. I will be back for future exams.

Heather at LensCrafters was genuinely the best. She helped me get my mom a pair of lenses for Christmas and somehow worked actual magic with the pricing, including 50% off the extra lenses, which made a huge difference. She also got us a really good deal on my mom’s first pair of lenses, so we walked out feeling like we won.
Heather was funny, easy to talk to, and super knowledgeable. She didn’t just ring us up and disappear, she took the time to explain options and even gave me really helpful insurance advice so I understood what made sense and what didn’t. No pressure, no confusion, just honest help and good vibes.
If you’re going to LensCrafters, ask for Heather. She made the whole experience way better than it had any right to be.

I’ve come here for 5+ years and won’t go anywhere else. The staff are great and you can’t tell you’re visiting a chain. They go above and beyond to check all my insurance options, accept coupons I’ve been sent by corporate, and help me pick frames that really suit me and my preferences.
They have beautiful frame options, incredibly friendly staff, and don’t forget that Doc is always a hoot!
Everyone dreads doctor appointments, but I always feel lighter when I leave after visiting these folks! Rip that bandaid and stop by the LensCrafters in Lees Summit! You won’t be disappointed.

Damaris helped me pick out my frames. She was very thoughtful and kind, and made the entire process much easier than I have times that I have previously experienced. As someone who is indecisive and was wanting to try something new, she was patient with me and she very insightful about the style of frame I was hoping to achieve. Damaris has incredible people skills and I can only hope everyone who comes in for their appointment has the opportunity to be assisted by her, or even gets the chance to say hello. She is awesome!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
