  Went to ER for severe vomiting and diarrhea. Starting feeling extremely faint and my limbs and face were going completely numb and stiff. I was terrified and in excruciating pain. I was met with a lot of mocking and laughter as I begged to know if I was going to be okay and asked that they stop leaving me alone waiting to put in a room. At one point I even called out for help and heard them tell staff to “leave her she’s fine”. They repeatedly told me I was making their job harder which may have been the case but by no means was my intention. I felt neglected and then humiliated and treated very inhumanly by the staff at Lake st Louis hospital and wanted to warn anyone going to the ER alone there in the future.

  I had a major back surgery and when I called up to the desk for pain medicine I had to wait 45 minutes to get it because the lady that answered my call did not deliver the message to the nurse,then I was crying in so much pain and all they wanted to do was tell me I couldn't get anymore medicine for a couple of hours when my doctor had a shot for me ordered too in case I would be in really bad pain, this all happened on April 8th 2026 on the 4th floor

  I'm am currently in the unit outside of ICU. I have been here 11 days and I truly believe this hospital has saved my life. My husband and I relocated here 5 years ago and we have used this hospital for him many times thru these past few years. But something is going on with the staffing that I feel is unjust! These nurses are the best and I have worked in the medical field for 23 years! But they are understaffed and have no help! How can you expect an exceptional nurse to do his or her job with the lack of support? I value this hospital and believe that this is the best hospital in this area. But if things keep going like they are they may lose nurses and then who can the community count on for care?

  I came because my fiance was bleeding while pregnant and weve been here for 3 hours there's only 2 other patients in the ER and weve only heard from the nurses once this is completely unacceptable they need to realize what their priorities are rather then just sitting at the counter laughing and joking with each other. This has been going on since I got here. Everyone to busy goofing off to alcare for the patients

  The ER at this hospital is less ER and more a neglected urgent care. Spent 7 hours there after an accident with no definitive results. Took 3 hours to get to X-ray and another hour to get CT. The 2 hours to be told that no one could read the CT until Monday. Concussion protocol was not discussed at all in fact I had to ask if my husband had a concussion. I had to ask all the questions because they didn’t even recommend icing my husbands knee that was the size of a basketball. The staff nurses and technicians are effective nice and have empathy , but the Doctors and the processes are sadly broken. Please do better the patients sitting in the waiting room thinking they had a heart or can’t hold their heads up or are bleeding on the floor need and deserve better.
