- AAAshleyDec 30, 20251.0Go here if you want hidden charges on your way out. I will not be returning and I wish they would stop calling me. I think it was pretty obvious I wouldn’t be back. I’ve been going to the eye doctor for over 30 years with insurance and this was the only time I’ve been charged outside of my insurance while leaving after only receiving a contact renewal that is included. I order my contacts on my own btw. Also, I notice a trend in the reviews where if someone complains they discount the bill. That’s suspicious 🙃
- NBNick BallardDec 29, 20251.0We’ve been patients here for years and have ordered sunglasses annually using insurance coverage that explicitly states it is covered. This year, after fumbling the order on my daughter’s prescription glasses multiple times, staff refused to process the order and incorrectly accused us of “breaking rules” while being dismissive and rude to both me and my wife. My insurance is top of the line and my guess is, being out of the “norm” they were too careless or lazy to look into the details. No attempt was made to verify coverage, and we were just told that we are trying to “compromise the rules. We pointed out the written insurance benefit, and also called our insurance provider (VSP) on speaker. Our insurance provider also tried to explain to Vision Source that no rules were being compromised and to proceed. We also tried to explain to Vision Source the benefit in further detail with our insurance provider and also prior history of doing as such. Our 11 year old son has a very large head (size 7-7/8 hat) and said they would get “flagged” for fraud if they ordered him adult-sized glasses that he was fit into the previous year by them. Our insurance provider told them that is not an issue and to proceed. I’m not sure what else we can tell or provide to a business who won’t listen to the insurance company saying that’s OK. The interaction was unprofessional enough that we are taking our business elsewhere. Disappointing experience from a place we previously trusted. We ultimately went elsewhere that was familiar with our insurance coverage and was able to order the glasses our insurance covers without issue. I would advise anyone shopping to go the “elsewhere” first.
