- TSTeresa SwopeFeb 14, 20261.0If I could give a negative 10, I would. Dr. Sharon Rovenstine is absolutly dishonest!!! I went to Target optical. With my insurance, I have a 10 dollar copay for an eye exam. They asked what I was being seen for and I told them that I needed a prescription for contacts. I specifically asked at the desk when checking in what my copay would be. I was told 10 dollars. They tried several time to get me to agree to a retina scan saying the insurance would cover it. I explained each time that it wasn't necessary, but they were doing their darkest to get those additional insurance dollars. I also explained that I have been wearing contacts for years and did not need a lens fitting. Dr Rovenstine said she would not provide a prescription for contacts, without doing the fitting. I relented thinking it was part of the exam. Dr. Rovenstine certainly never explained that she would be charging an additional 90 dollars for that. COMPLETELY DISHONEST in my opinion. I would advise everyone to steal clear and see anyone other than this dr.
