  They assigned me a temporary shrink without telling me that he was temporary. Then they gave me Dr. Javi. Her English is so broken. I have to often ask her to repeat herself. She won’t prescribe Ritalin even though I’ve had a prescription almost 30 years.

  I always had my prescriptions sent in promptly, never being without meds. Office staff appear professional but also seem deceivingly pretentious, like one wrong move and you're out the door. Fairly easy to get an appointment, and there's a reason why. SSM was great when an actual SSM psychiatrist worked there. Joshua Foster was the best. I saw him for at least a year. Now, SSM uses a third party agency, similar to Kelly services, that they contract with, that's responsible for sending them doctors. These doctors only stay about three to six months from my experience. A higher up told me that SSM can't find doctors on their own that want to work for them to live in Jefferson City. As a result, continuity of care is horrible, unable to form a rapport with your physician. Furthermore, it seems these doctors might not be as experienced or I assume they wouldn't be working for a third party agency. And, bedside manner isn't the best, probably because they know they're leaving for another position. Again, staff conducts themselves professionally and have always treated me well, but continuity of care needs improvement. SSM needs to find a way to obtain their own doctors and hopefully keep them for a lengthy period of time.

  Great place for your mental health. Jamie is the best therapist I have ever had. Nicole is awesome and truly cares about her patients and she listens to you and helps get you back to your best self. Heather and SueAnn at the front are great too.

  Do not go here If you value your mental health at all. They treat you like you are a toddler and Adam, a security guard there, assaults anyone he pleases and even when you call and complain to the hospital multiple times they allow him to do whatever they want (: if you come here, have a lawyers phone number handy! Because they will torture you and keep you captive without telling you why. And they will also give you addictive medication even after you tell them not to give them to you, you are an addict. All of these workers here should feel disgusted with what environment they've created.
