- KKKyNov 25, 20251.0I have been coming to this pharmacy for 6 years now and have preferred it over everyone else in town until my last two visits. Today I went in to check on my son's medication because the app wouldn't load his information. The pharmacy rep told me it needed a prior authorization, and to contact my son's doctor, or I needed to pay out of pocket for it. So, I left and left a message with his doctor's office about that. Just to get a call 10 minutes later, saying the medication can't even be filled here. My child went 4 days without medication and there was zero communication from them, then miscommunication when I get there. A courtesy call, either to my doc that sent the med in, or to me would have been more than enough to fix this whole problem.. and they chose to not do that, for whatever reason.

I do Urgent care but also specialize in primary care and weight loss treatment. I tried to call in a Rx for a patient and the pharmacist Mark Nitz refused to take the prescription stating that I was an urgent care doctor and couldn't prescribe weight loss medication. This is completely false I it seemed like he just wanted to get off the phone with me and not help me or my patient. I will not recommend Gerbes pharmacies to any of my Columbia or Jefferson City patients from now on. Very poor customer service.
