Today is 12/12/2025, and I am absolutely heartbroken writing this. My children have been patients of Dr. Kranbuhl since the day they were born. For over eight years, we have followed her through every office change, no matter how far the drive was. That’s how much we trusted her and how much my kids adored her.
But after what happened today, I cannot bring my children back to this office.
Last week, I was in a terrible car accident. My vehicle was completely totaled, and I’ve been trying to manage everything the best I can. When I got the text message confirming the kids’ appointments, I responded “no,” and the system told me the appointment was canceled. I had no idea that only one of the two appointments was canceled.
This morning, I received a call asking why one child still had an appointment. I called back at 11:10 AM to clear it up. Instead of understanding, I was met with shocking rudeness and zero compassion.
The woman on the phone insisted it was a “no-call, no-show,” even though the appointment wasn’t for hours and even though I explained their system only canceled one appointment. I apologized several times and explained that I’m dealing with the aftermath of a car accident, that my car is gone, and that this was a system error — not me ignoring my appointment.
She didn’t care at all.
Then she told me that because of this, I would no longer be allowed to schedule my children together, something we’ve done for six years without issue. I explained that my husband and I both work and cannot take off twice, especially when we now have to drive over 45 minutes to get there. Still, she wouldn’t budge. She kept blaming me, kept repeating that it was a no-show, and then said she would “note the account,” implying we wouldn’t be coming there anymore anyway.
After eight years, after all the driving, after all the loyalty and trust — we were treated like we meant nothing.
It is devastating that one rude, uncaring employee is enough to push us away from a doctor my children truly love. This experience makes it impossible for me to return, because I refuse to expose my family to someone who speaks to patients like that, especially during a vulnerable time.
This office should be ashamed of how this situation was handled. My kids will be crushed, and it breaks my heart that this is how our time with Dr. Kranbuhl ends.
