LensCrafters is one the the places I'm not going back to. I wear glasses since I was a teenager but I never ever had experienc we had with this place. Last year I bought my glasses from there. First, they tried to push me to get insurance for my glasses wich as an experienced glass wearer, I knew it's not necessary.
I never break my glasses even one. I also like to get new glasses every year or two so I realized I do not need the insurance. Two things that matter to me are my glasses to be light-weighted with good non scratch lenses. So I paid a lot out of poket which was ok, because I thought I'm going to have nice glasses at least for a year. However, less than 4 to 5 months my lenses had so many scratches which I find to be not normal for an expensive product. So I went back to the store and explained to them what happened. they asked if I have insurance and when I said no it was like they don't want me there. I was told they can not do anything. they even DiD NOT even asked me to give them the glasses, they did not even look at it or at least pretend they care, and with a dismissive attitude.
I believe they are not familiar with the idea of customer service.

I should have written this a long time ago.
My experience with LensCrafters has been consistently positive from the first visit to today. It was my first time needing glasses, so I had a lot of questions. Teresa and the staff took the time to walk me through frame options, lenses, and pricing, and they worked to find the best value since I didn’t have insurance.
When I returned to pick up my glasses, the store was busy, yet they still acknowledged me quickly and made sure I was taken care of. That kind of attentiveness matters.
Over the past two years I’ve stopped in several times for adjustments, and each visit has been the same — prompt service, professional courtesy, and no sense that I was inconveniencing them. They even showed me how to make small adjustments at home to save a trip.
Consistent service, fair pricing, and dependable support after the sale. Five stars.

had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at LensCrafters in the mall. One of the employees, Mrs. Westbrook, refused to provide service after they had already taken my payment. She stated she “knew me” and declined to help, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional.
The situation was handled poorly from start to finish. I was charged and my insurance was processed, yet the service I paid for was not completed. I left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.
I would strongly recommend that others be cautious and thoroughly review their charges and insurance claims before doing business here. Based on my experience, I will not be returning.

had a deeply frustrating experience at the LensCrafters location in the Columbia Mall, Missouri. The staff seemed unprepared and mishandled my purchase from start to finish. They sold me a pair of glasses, took my payment, and only informed me a month later that they couldn’t fulfill the order due to some internal issue. Instead of a proper resolution, they offered an inferior substitute and attempted to shift the blame onto me as the customer. This lack of accountability and poor communication wasted my time and money—I strongly recommend avoiding this store and choosing a more reliable optician elsewhere.

Very kind and helpful staff! I stopped by to get my sunglasses repaired, and the man who helped me was great. Quick, easy, and a really pleasant experience.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
