  My visit to SSM Urgent Care in Brentwood for a mystery 24 hour gastrointestinal bug was so helpful. This is my regular Urgent Care and I am always well taken care of and seen quickly. I was checked in by a real live human before I could even start with the self-check-in kiosk and then they had me back in a room from there. I was suffering from some pretty rough nausea and they were able to give me medication while I was there (and then a follow up prescription) to get me back on my feet. J.R. (I think this was his name) the practitioner who treated me was extremely kind, patient, and thorough. I had a family roadtrip planned just two days after my appointment and I was afraid I might have to cancel. But SSM Urgent Care took great care of me so I could keep my plans. Thank you!

  HORRIBLE SERVICE. MADE AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT FOR 715 AND 30 MINUTES LATER AND STILL WAITING NO SIGN OF GETTING IN. HOW ABOUT YOU QUIT TAKING WALK-INS KNOWING YOU'RE ONLINE APPOINTMENTS ARE COMPLETELY BOOKED. I HAVE TO WORK A 12 HOUR SHIFT TOMORROW, STILL HAVEN'T EATEN DINNER AND I'M EXHAUSTED. THIS IS TOMFOOLERY AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. NOT HAPPY

  BEWARE-READ THIS WHOLE REVIEW (AND ALL THE OTHERS) BEFORE GOING HERE: I went in for an exam of a foot I suspected had a stress fracture. The nurse practioner/PA? that I saw was professional and did a good job. It was examined and x-rayed , however, I was released with no results and told they would call me with the results the next day. No one ever called or would give me the results by phone when I called them and it took me weeks to be able to be able to log in and see the results thru their portal. By that time my foot had healed. In addition, I was told by Aetna, my insurance, that this facility was an in network URGENT CARE I was also told by the facility that they are IN NETWORK as an URGENT CARE with my policy and that my only responsibility would be my $50 co pay, even if they took an X-Ray. I paid that $50 at the time of service as requested. The initial EOB I received showed that my additional cost was $0. But SURPRISE, they then submitted a duplicate claim that was for $835. And they bill as an EMERGENCY ROOM, or at least that is how the insurance treats it. It is fraudulent. I was not seen at a hospital or emergency room but because the facility is associated with SSM I have to pay emergency room prices. My prior insurance plan covered Total Access Urgent Care facilities and I received much better care (same day results) and no surprise bills when using them. I advised going there. I will continue to fight this claim as a matter of principal for everyone else they have taken advantage of! Read the reviews-I am not the only one. It is unethical practice and surprise billing and I work in healthcare so can speak from experience. PS-this is on the second negative review I have ever left for anything in my life. I typically use my voice to build businesses up, not criticize them. But, in this case, the public needed to be warned.
