  I had an appointment today with Reni Joseph. It has been over a year since I have been to a check up with my regular GP that left the practice. I have white coat syndrome and it took everything in me just to go today. Reni was condescending and dismissive. It first started off with her coming in and positioning her computer screen one foot from my face the entire time, without ever seeing my face or making eye contact with me during the entire visit. She asked me about my prescription history- while I was reading off my list, she cut me off and went on a tangent about why it was my oldest refilled one. She never let me finish my history with her. She rudely, in a demeaning tone, began to ask questions, the nurse prior to walking in asked with me and told me Reni would read over the questionnaire when she was finished. So I shut down and gave firm one worded answers. She then proceeded to get outraged and blurt out “What’s your problem?!? I’m just only trying to help!” Without ever looking at me or treating me like a patient or a human being at the least. The nurse assistant has been my nurse for years. She understands my fears and issues with going to the doctor. Ms Reni Joseph DID NOT do anything to help calm my anxiety while in her office or make me feel silly for not going for so long. She is a reason people like myself have a real fear of the medical field.
