I had a great experience at LensCrafter at the Woodbury location! I was helped by a tech named Emma, who was basically a super-woman. She seemed to do a little bit of everything and kept the whole process running smoothly. I also met with an older doctor who had a one-of-a-kind way of talking that definitely made the visit memorable in the best way, haha.
The exam itself was quick and efficient, and I got my updated prescription without needing anything else. I will be back .

I had a wonderful experience at my glasses appointment. Emma, the lead tech, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable—she made the whole process easy and comfortable. I unfortunately don’t remember the doctor’s name, but she was great as well and took the time to make sure my prescription was just right. I also remember a lady named Beck who was very helpful and welcoming during my visit.
Overall, the entire team was professional, patient, and made me feel well cared for. I’m really happy with my appointment and would definitely recommend this location!

LensCrafters offered a wonderful experience, as I just moved into Minnesota. All staff members were professional, courteous, and happy to be there. The manager Angela happily offered up a greeting and a smile as I walked through the door, and guided me to where I needed to be. I met the lead tech there named Emma, who was knowledgeable and helpful before my exam. I recommend giving that girl a raise, as she was definitely a GIRL BOSS! I had my exam with Dr. Yang who was very charming, but professional. He gave me some prewarning about an early onset eye condition, that I didn't even know of (I went to Pearle for years prior). After getting my updated prescription I met with a glasses expert named Dolly who helped me find the perfect pair of glasses. I struggle finding any glasses that fit, as my head is very large, and my PD is obscenely unique. Luckily, everyone at LensCrafter made the process smooth, fast, and enjoyable. I can't say that for any previous establishments.

The presale side of lens crafter is outstanding. People are so friendly and they are open at convenient times. Which cannot be said about a lot of other eye care places.
Where Lens Crafters falls, and falls flat, is post sale. I purchased two pair of glasses at their buy one get one half off. I’ve been back several times over the past year describing pain caused from my glasses from being out of adjustment. And I was told that my glasses are hard to adjust and this is just part of living with the glasses I selected. One of these pairs are Oakleys which should be very standard, they are sold nearly everywhere. I don’t believe their personnel are trained to make adjustments at the level their eyewear demands.
I will not be returning.

A few months ago, I have purchased a pair of Ray-Ban glasses with progressive lenses designed to cover distance, intermediate, and near vision (for driving, TV viewing, and reading/laptop work).
Unfortunately, trying to meet all three needs with one pair didn’t work well for me, mainly for near vision, e.g. for laptop use—which makes up most of my day—the experience was frustrating. Only half of the screen appears clear at a time; turning my head makes the other half clear but blurs the first half.
I returned the glasses within a week and shared this feedback. They replaced them with a new pair, but the same issue persisted. I was told this is the best possible outcome for this lens type. As a result, the glasses now sit unused in my drawer since with my current vision, I can manage driving and TV viewing without them.
Pros:
✔ Good customer service – responsive and accepted feedback
✔ Quick replacement without hassle
Cons:
✘ Technical limitations of progressive lenses were not explained upfront
✘ Not suitable for extended laptop work despite being marketed as multi-purpose
Bottom line: If considering going for progressive lenses, be aware of its limitations, as shared with me. If most of your day involves computer work, consider dedicated single-vision or office lenses instead of progressive lenses.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
