I want to start by saying that I’ve always received great eye care from the doctors at this location. However, my experience today left me feeling very disappointed. I came in for an eye exam and was considering getting a new pair of glasses since my previous pair broke. I made it clear to the staff that I don’t wear glasses often. Despite that, I ended up spending over $600 out of pocket—even after insurance—with a total of $1,354 before coverage. At the time, everything moved quickly, and I assumed the cost was standard for an exam and glasses. However, after doing some research afterward, I feel like I may have been upsold on multiple lens upgrades that weren’t necessary for my needs. I called just a couple of hours after my appointment to cancel the order, but I was told the lenses were already in production and it was too late to make changes. This is the first time I’ve left this location feeling uneasy and regretful, which is disappointing given my positive experiences in the past.

I have been a patient at Pearle Vision since the early 80's as a child, now they take care of my childrens visual health. We had an appointment at 2:15 yesterday 4/01/26 and we were almost 20 minutes late and they still fit us in right away. Friendly staff, great Doctor, extra clean facility, accepts our insurance. I couldn't be more pleased with my family's level of care!

So we have been going to this place for a while never had an issue. We make appointments for myself, my daughter and my husband. Pearle Vision messages me in my email which I don’t always check, to confirm my appointment. I didn’t check my email for a couple of days because I work overnight and I don’t always think about it. I check and see to emails from Pearl one saying confirm and one a day later saying they canceled our appointments because I didn’t confirm in time. So I make new appointments we get diabetic eye, exams, and glasses for my husband and myself and my eye exam and glasses for my daughter. I was told that the diabetic eye exam for my husband and I were gonna be completely covered by my insurance no worries nothing to pay for it except for the glasses. My husband picked out a frame that’s around $400. I picked out a frame that was about $190 and somehow even though my husband and I both get bifocals and we both got the exact same bells and whistles on our glasses. Somehow my glasses cost just as much as his. We have the exact same insurance because it’s my insurance for my work that the whole family is under. Between the three of us, we paid $2000 and then about three weeks later, we get a bill for the eye exams for my husband and I that we were told was going to be covered by insurance. I mean I know glasses are expensive, but this is ridiculous. To be told, we’re not gonna get charged and then turn around and get charged. It was just the last nail in the coffin. I will never go to the store again.
