For a year I had struggled with my first pair of progressive lenses (first pair of glasses ever really) that did not seem to help me at all. When I cam to the DT location and shared that (as I did when I went back to the location I got my first pair to see if my prescription was wrong or something) the first question Jessica asked was “do you work with multiple monitors?” No one asked me anything when I bought my first pair! It turns out progressive lenses are not inherently designed with computer work in mind…that would have been helpful to know. I am very new to wearing glasses and she helped me find a pair that would help me for my actual needs/how I use them as well as looking good for my face shape. Will not be going anywhere else for glasses!

They were friendly, easy to talk to, and Kristine was incredibly helpful in picking out frames that match my style and preferences. However, the clinical portion was less impressive. Dr. Mehta was strictly business. While she performed the exam efficiently, I didn't feel any 'Minnesota Nice'. I received very little explanation regarding my tests, why my astigmatism increased, or how to better care for my eyes. And I would have appreciated more guidance on which lenses would be best for my specific type of work and lifestyle—something I’ve typically received from other optometrists back in Asia. At the end of the day, she did her job, but the lack of personalized care and patient education was a letdown compared to the stellar service from the optical staff. Aaand to top it off, I was told it would take 3 weeks to get my glasses, which is much longer than the industry standard of 1-week average.
