  If you’re a woman who suspects you have ADHD, do not get tested here. Your symptoms probably won’t be listened to. They have a very outdated, inaccurate understanding of ADHD, and if you fall outside the stereotype of a disruptive/hyperactive little boy, you’ll likely be misdiagnosed or brushed off. At least I was. Later I went through Allina Health instead, and was referred by a doctor to a psychiatrist, who diagnosed me with combined-type ADHD. Five Rivers told me I didn’t have ADHD, because I have a college degree and scored too high on the one 20-minute attention test they gave me. But Five Rivers was wrong. The misdiagnose of ADHD in women is unfortunately very common, and has horrible life consequences. Don’t take your chances here.

  Most of these therapists arent licensed and have very little oversight. You can see proof on their website where only the president of the company had the phd in psych and you can rarely get a hold of,her. They even will say theyre diagnosimg something just for "insuramce to pay" screening assessments were never discussed in full with me and a diagnosis that doesnt really fit was made despite myself and my husband pointing out that it sounded nothing like what I'm dealing with. Also a hypnotic therapy called ART i expressed i am not comfortable with and it was often pushed and pushed and oressured on me. Dont go here. They dont treat you with dignity and just want money.

  Five Rivers answer to a 17 year kid with problems is "get them dog" !!?!? That's the professional advice you'll get here, same your time and money and go elsewhere.
